FIT payments are for all units of electricity generated by PV Solar Panels. Solar PV pays up to £900 per year for 20 years.
Domestic RHIs start in April 2014. In the meantime, a Renewable Heat Premium Payment (RHPP) of £300 is available now.
Insulation grants of up to 100% are available for Loft & Cavity Wall. The Green Deal is available for External Wall Insulation.
Grants of up to 100% can be claimed for boilers and Central Heating systems. Home owners & private tenants qualify.

Energy Grants & Other Incentives

A variety of Government-backed grants and other incentives are available to cover, or go towards the cost of installing Energy Efficient products.

Feed-in Tariffs (FITs) are paid by the large energy suppliers for every unit of electricity generated by a Solar PV system. Together with bill savings, these payments typically cover the cost of a PV system within 10 years.

The Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) is a series of payments for every unit of heat generated by a Solar Thermal system. More detail of the RHI scheme is due to be released in April 2014.

The Energy Companies Obligation (ECO) is a grant scheme that places an obligation on energy suppliers to pay for Loft, and Cavity Wall Insulation, Boilers and full Central Heating systems in private domestic households.

Solar PV Panels (Photovoltaics)

Investing in Solar Panels allows you to earn an income for 20 years. Big savings can also be made on your energy bills if you can use the electricity they produce.

Solar PV (photovoltaics)Thanks to Feed in Tariffs, a Solar PV system will earn payments for each unit of electricity generated and for any surplus energy exported to the National grid.

Households with a typical 2.5kWp domestic system will receive an average of £365 per year in FIT payments and cut their annual energy bills by around £155.

FITs payments continue for 20 years after installation and it only takes just under 10 years to recoup the initial installation cost of a Solar PV system.

Solar PV Panels are also long-lasting, and need little maintenance. Get 3 quotes for Solar PV.

Solar Thermal Panels (Hot Water)

Solar Thermal technology converts the sun’s energy into hot water. This can then be stored in a cylinder and used around the home for washing, bathing, etc.

Solar Thermal (Hot Water)A residential Solar Thermal Panel system allows you to make average annual savings of between £55 and £85 on your water heating bills.

From April 2014, homes with Solar Thermal systems will also receive payments for each unit of heat generated through the UK Government's Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI). These payments will amount to around £250 per year and systems fitted now will qualify.

An RHI Premium Payment/grant of £300 is available to bridge the gap until the full Renewable Heat Incentive begins. Get 3 quotes for Solar Thermal.

Home Insulation

Having your home insulated by professional installers can dramatically reduce the level of energy required to heat your home, thus reducing your energy bills.

Loft, Cavity & External Wall InsulationInstalling Loft Insulation, is estimated to save around £150 each year in energy costs and 800kg of CO2.

Cavity Wall Insulation can save around £115 on annual fuel bills and cut CO2 emissions by 610kg.

Having External Wall Insulation fitted can save up to £270 per year on bills and reduce Carbon emissions by 600kg.

Grants are available to cover some or all of the cost of installing Insulation in your home.

Central Heating & Boilers

An inefficient boiler could be costing you up to £300 per year on wasted energy. If you don't have Central Heating, it could be costing even more.

Boiler & Central Heating GrantsIf you receive an income-related benefit, you could qualify to have your boiler replaced or a full Central Heating system installed.

Providing your boiler is less than 86% efficient, which typically applies to boilers over 5 years old, it will be eligible for replacement.

If your property is heated by solid fuel, gas or electric fires, you can also qualify to have a full Central Heating system installed.

Grants are available to cover some or all of the cost of having the work carried out. Apply for a new boiler/heating system.
